Got outside this morning and ran 5 pretty fast miles. (at least for me) I ran here in Big Horn, not in my virtual treadmill life. It was really nice weather so I ran at about 10:00 a.m. One important thing I forgot. I am so used to heading out the door when the sun is barely up, if at all, that I forgot about the need for a hat or sunglasses. Its not fun to run while squinting.
My miles splits were: 9:02, 8:44, 8:33, 9:56, 9:42. And although this is really good times for me, I sure tire quickly. Hopefully that will improve as I train.
Then off to run a number of errands. I saw some interesting things on my way into town.
We are not in Kansas anymore, Toto.
There’s a ranch in Big Horn that raises Long Horn cattle. I love to see them each day.
And now that its spring, there are babies everywhere.
And now I think I will start giving you some daily trivia so we can all get a little smarter.
If you keep a goldfish in a dark room, it will eventually turn white.
Women blink nearly twice as much as men.
Donald Duck comics were once banned in Finland because he doesn’t wear pants.
A snail can sleep for 3 years.
More people are killed by donkeys annually than are killed in plane crashes
Now don’t you feel just a wee bit smarter? I bet you’ll use one of these facts tomorrow!
