I woke up to a beautiful morning. Blue skies, very little wind. I was able to wear shorts and a t-shirt while running for the first time this year.
I ran my scheduled 4 miles and it was ok – just not one of those great-feeling runs, ya know?
I did know something that would be great-feeling though. I decided to let the dogs run and play while I absorbed some more vitamin D.
While running a short errand, Gus sang some songs for Luna.
All three dogs noticed this sight.
I read this story about the Boston Marathon, where two runners helped another runner to get across the finish line. He collapsed less than 100 yards from the finish! Great story.
I finished my audio book on today’s run. I was listening to “A Checklist for Murder” and I highly recommend it. The next one I will start is “The Girl on the Train” – I’ll let you know what I think. I found out that the narrator must be good or I lose interest in the story fast. Obviously it also must be something that keeps me riveted to the story or I start thinking about my breathing, my sweating, how much I need to go to the bathroom, and any other thing I prefer not to think about.
I still have to decide what I want to do during my next race. Listen to music, an audiobook, or maybe alternate????? What works for you?
Did all of you notice the full moon last night? So beautiful.
And we are so close to another weekend!
Have a great day.
Do you have any audio books you recommend?
Do you ever look at the moon and wonder who else is looking at it at the same time?
