Sunday’s Calm

This morning started with going out for breakfast.  I met Patient Husband at our favorite breakfast spot – The Silver Spur.  Of course that’s the name, this is Wyoming.  After a yummy veggie omelet and  a cup    6 or 7 cups of coffee, I was ready for the day.

I took care of all the horses and then settled in for some overdue reading of files.  Then when I needed a break, I’d read my book or listen to my audio book.  By the end of the day I had finished my book  (The Curse of  Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones) which I highly recommend.  This is book ten of her series.  Love it.  I also finished my audio book,  “The Widow” by Fiona Barton.  It was one of those books where you sit in the garage long after you park so you can listen to another chapter!

A huge storm came up with high winds, some thunder and then lots of rain.  I love the rain.  I never thought I’d say that until our pastures and lawn completely dried up.  The rain got harder and harder and soon we had hail.

The dogs were not happy.  All Gus wanted was to play ball…..

And Jake?  Well he was just bored.

Don’t all you dog owners agree with this?

I have so much to do and yet today was spent reading!  Have you ever felt like that?  Today was my designated relaxation day I guess.  I did make a to-do list for Monday and Tuesday though!

Have a great Monday and don’t forget the last thing on the list:  Be Awesome!
