Sunday’s Short and Sweet

Last night, the dogs and I woke up from watching t.v. (I do a lot of that) and it was very late so we all headed to the bedroom.  Right outside the patio door was a deer sleeping on the edge of the patio.  Maybe 8 feet from me.  How cool was that?

I didn’t turn on any lights because I didn’t want to disturb him.  Oh that’s not the first time my leg has hit the corner of the table.  But it was the first time I was quiet about it.

I’m hoping he comes back again so I can be prepared with my super duper camera.

The sun came out today and the temperatures were near 50.    Murray found the perfect spot.

Then Banjo borrowed that idea.

And about 15 minutes later…….

By afternoon the  snow on the patio was melted and there were bare spots out in the pasture.  But as you can see in the horse pictures – there is a lot more to go.”

At some point today we looked at the week’s weather forecast.  I cried when I saw that Monday night we may get 3-5 more inches of snow.  Patient Husband hugged me and said ‘We live in Wyoming, and it’s winter’.   I hate so much reality thrown at me at one time.

So this is Thanksgiving week.  Yep, it takes a whole week to prepare for one meal!  How are you celebrating?    I have had big dinners for my family, attended big get togethers, eaten at a restaurant, and once my oldest son and I had Thanksgiving dinner at Waffle House.  I gave him his choice of restaurants and that was his pick.  Hey its the people you share it with, right??

So start out this week with a smile on your face and hopefully it will be a good one.

One step at a time,

Anne
