Today was a travel day. Hit the Ft. Lauderdale airport nice and early and our flight to Denver was unremarkable. Which, in my opinion, is how all flights should be. There is a running store in Boulder that I really like so we took a side trip there. Patient Husband is treating me to a new pair of running shoes! Once at Boulder Running, she watched me walk, then run on the treadmill with the shoes I have now, checked the bottoms of the shoes and came back with a few to try on. I left with a pair of Asics Gel Kayano. They feel like heaven and have the stability I need. I’m ready to start running again!
We also stopped at the cutest mountain town – Georgetown. Lots of cute shops and galleries.
Then we headed up to Vail, Colorado. I am having some surgery on my hand tomorrow. It will require me to have a cast for 6-8 weeks. So I will really be testing the patience of Patient Husband now!
I’m hitting the pillow early tonight. If I can’t eat or drink after midnight, then what’s the point of staying up?
I bet you can’t wait for all the gory details tomorrow. But for now – another picture of my medal.
Don’t stop running, get new shoes!
