Wednesday’s Running and Falling

I am so happy with sunny, warm days.  There is so much more to do, even if all it is is sitting outside with something to drink.  This morning’s run I wore a long sleeve shirt and it was too warm; shorts and t-shirt weather!

I only had to run 3 miles today so tried it a little faster – 8:55 avg. pace.

So last night I combined this:

with this rock-hard tile floor:

and this: (me on stool and then jumping up to get the phone)

and it equaled this:

Luckily Patient Husband didn’t laugh.  He knew it was no laughing matter.  I did catch him checking for cracked tiles, though.

When I was outside working today, the neighbors were wondering if I was doing a Vogue fashion photo shoot…..

“Help me, I’ve fallen and can’t get up!”     The scratching post traps another victim.IMG_2553

As I stand for just a few seconds in my closet and a dog plants himself on top of my feet, I realize the true meaning of ‘velcro dogs’.

I finished listening to “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins.  Unbelievable!  At the end I couldn’t stop listening: driving in the car, cleaning the house, etc.  Go get the book or the audiobook – like NOW!

I browsed for a while, reading reviews, etc. and finally decided on ‘The Life We Bury’ by Allen Eskens for my next audio book.  I’ll keep you posted!

I have a friend (honest!) who is training for a triathlon.  After running, she gets pain in her hip.  No pain during the run (or biking or swimming) only after running.  She has done the stretching, the exercises, the foam rolling, etc. etc. to no avail.  Anyone out there have a suggestion?

Smile, you’re half way through the week!  And keep moving (unless it causes you pain)!

Anyone out there suffer from hip pain?  What did you do?

Do you enjoy listening to audio books or reading books more?
