Yard Work and Other Breathtaking Moments

Normally I will be here complaining   talking about the terrible weather, but we’ve actually had some nice spring weather.  On the news last night (yes, I am still brave enough to watch the evening news) I saw deadly weather  events all over the country.  I hope all of you are missing all of it.

The only thing I can still complain about is the double digit wind speeds.   I have gotten out to run about every other day.  Yesterday was a 4-1/2 miler.   I still haven’t gotten myself completely out of the funk and into training mode.  Way back when, I would have been on the treadmill or sweating to an insanity workout.  I think with consistent spring weather and a race on the schedule, that will help.  Now – on to the race schedules so I can pick one….

Our lawn mower is on the blink.  We are on the ‘wait’ list to have it fixed.  WH-A-T ????  Yep, so each day I weed eat until my arms fall off.  Yesterday I took a break and let someone else do the work.   Patient Husband, you ask?   Nope

Here they are doing some edging work.

In fact, they were doing so well, I drew up a chair.

Everyone was enjoying the show.

When the wind got to be too much we all jumped in the car and went for a ride just to enjoy the countryside.

And now, a picture of Mr. Handsome.

I love this saying.  Maybe it will be my new mantra while running.  Well actually it’s good at a lot of moments…..

Life is tough, but you are tougher.

One step at a time,

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
