Hello Summer!

Hello Summer, I've missed you.

This is the view from one of those nice stone benches . (you know, the ones where the old people sit.). I could sit here all day.

These two are at the stables, but even they seem to be enjoying the sun.

Such attitude!

I've taken up a new hobby.

Anyone want to take a nap?

When I run (or walk) I see a lot of random things. Here are a few that I saw this week.

I wish there was an explanation....

This 'Smart' car owner obviously has a good sense of humor.

After some intense research, (ok, one google search) I found out this is a seagull egg.

Nothing much to say about this except: Awwwww.

And since we are talking about sights from running and about sights from surfing...

And since the one above is so totally me, the one below is totally my dog.

OK, iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's Finn time!!

Did you say something about not going upstairs, Nana?

Truck Yoga

Aaaaaand we're off!

Ok you guys out there....this is so true you need to print it and hang it on your wall or bathroom mirror.

Durango is doing so much better. What would we horsepeople do without Polysporin!

He was much more behaved this time out in the arena. I even put a saddle on his back for a few minutes. Just enough time to do some adjustments and to remind him "this is a saddle".

I think I heard him muttering "yea, yea, yea, whatever".

Yesterday was his first day back out with the herd. Please, please, please don't get hurt.

Some car trips this week too. Lincoln City (just north of us) had a kite festival.

Jake always tries his hardest to get up front with me....

Searching for the perfect camper...

Another pretty day.

And for all you runners like me that really don't know or even enjoy fast running:

You know it's getting close to race date when this is my run for Saturday:

Workout Details

Update Workout

Saturday, June 29, 2019

Coach: Kevin and Angie Brown

Long run: 12 miles

I have actually found a good use for a treadmill! During some of my workouts, my coaches want me to run, or attempt to run, at a certain pace. No matter how hard I try, I cannot 'feel' a pace or keep at a specified pace. So now I do my warm up and cool downs to and from the gym and then set the treadmill to the desired pace and go! Of course this does not help the boredom of treadmill running. I've tried music, podcasts, audiobooks, and even downloaded shows on my ipad.

I had a great time today with an old friend from my polygraph days. A true dedicated Sgt. from Idaho and a great person/friend. The Northwestern Polygraph Association had their convention here in Newport. Thank you Chelle for inviting me to lunch; it was so good catching up. Lunch needed to be 3 hours long.

I hope everyone has a great day and weekend. Try to catch up with an old friend soon. In person or at least by phone.

One step at a time,
