SOMETIMES IT'S JUST: "IT IS, WHAT IT IS"
When your 'landscaper' is only 5 foot tall....
There have been several 'firsts' this spring/summer.
Finn had his first graduation. He graduated from Montessori preschool - can you believe he'll be in kindergarten this fall????
I also had my first Cousin's week. Two of my sisters (Marcia and Susan) and two of my cousins (Wendy and Cindy) all met at Wendy's house in California for a fabulous time. Wine, shopping, great meals and lots of laughs. Oh, and I had another first ...... my first cosmopolitan!
On a trip to Portland, I had my first visit to Voodoo donuts. Oh my gosh - the best ever.
During a trip to visit the barn, Finn decided he was brave enough to have his first solo ride on Durango. Yay!
Some of my first garden bouquets. Love these peonies.
On a trip to the library, Madeline pointed at a picture of Dolly Parton on the wall and said, "Nana!". Now that is a first for me.
Adorable beach picture.
We took a trip to Florida for a family reunion last week. Yes, Florida in June. Despite the unGodly weather, it was wonderful to see my family. Its been almost 7 years since our last reunion so it was amazing to see everyone and all the new children.
You know how if they misplace your luggage, they ask for a description? We decided this was the best way to show them without having to remember - is it silver or would you call it platinum? Gold, really???
Of course there were trips to Disneyworld. Moments of excitement for some, not so much for others.
My NY Grandchildren: Alistair and Ahnika
So many great photos of Disney: Note, Madeline definitely wants to go to the Country Bear Jamboree. But once inside, she kept saying NO!
River kayaking fun:
Someone thought this cute hat had palm fronds on it!
A random chuckle
And one more. Exactly WHAT is going into that trunk?
Cousins. Sweet Bergen trying to console Finn.
Did I mention that we were asked to fly on a later flight to Orlando and we got flight credits AND flew first class? I have now been severely spoiled.
Once back home, we took in some whale watching down the road at Depoe Bay.
The dogs were very happy to see us. But I thought I heard some grumbling about not even getting a t-shirt.......
I'm already missing all the family we got to see and the ones that couldn't make it. But summer is here so let the fun continue!
One step at a time,
