Winding Down to the Weekend
Time for another weekend! Everyone loves the weekend, right? Well of course there are those of you who work weekends, so maybe not so much love there.
After researching several half marathon races and all that goes with them: costs of registering, airlines, need for rental car, hotels,
course description, i.e. elevation changes (the flatter the better or downhill is amazing).
After spending way-too-many hours trying to decide, my daughter and I finally made a decision
2019 Scary Run
Sun - Oct 27, 2019
The course! This is a beautiful (but scary) course in quaint Washougal ,WA along the Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood and the Gorge! The course is extremely flat and perfect for a Personal Best - especially since you'll be running for your life!

Of course I've been out running. I've been doing more trail running. It's harder and slower for me but I really enjoy it.
I'm also going to the gym a couple times a week. I realized when I saw this woman leaving, that I was totally in need of some new fashionable workout clothes.
We all have our weaknesses when it comes to food. But this person is totally out of control.
My problem might be oreos:
Yes, I am one of those people you hate who have the 13.1 sticker on my car to brag that I'm a half marathon runner. Sorry (not really)
I'm trying to decide which one of these I'll get for Patient Husband.
Tomorrow is a 10-miler for me. And then, who knows, some beach time? I'm working hard at this retirement thing.
One step at a time,
